Norcasia, Caldas water sanctuary

Norcasia, is located in the northeast of the department of Caldas, it is called the girl of Caldas for being the second youngest municipality in the department, also, it is classified as the water sanctuary of Caldas, thanks to its innumerable water riches that gave rise to the studies to develop the most important hydroelectric project in the department of Caldas (Miel I project), which today we know as the Amaní reservoir contained by its Pantagoras dam.

 

Norcasia has majestic landscapes that are adorned with rivers and streams, in which visitors and visitors can enjoy finding majestic places such as: La Miel River, Moro River, Manso River with its spas (La Punta sector, El Hueco sector, Sector via Sandiego Caldas, Remolino Sector) La Clara, Las Pavas, Quebrada el Jagual, Quebrada La Sana, Quebrada Santa Barbara, among others.
